I couldn't say for sure with my view from the floor, but it was probably standing-room only from that point on.

The film will be available for physical or digital purchase soon. In the meantime, the book is available.

Re: American Refugees

Great writing. Even though I am not on the air, you can find me on the internet. I'm on Twitter under URBANFABRICFM and I am also a REAL DJ too Adam. Hit my blog for updated remixes and dj sets from me as well as dj's and producers from all over the world! Thanks again to everyone that tuned in on Saturday nights and sent in 100's of texts and emails of support for both Urban Fabric and live 100.5FM. Your music selections which included obscure acoustic one man bands playing folk music and lullibies is a death knell for yet another station. The Coffee House was tolerable since no one listens on Sunday morning anyway. Got to tune in to Hunstville for decent new/alternative music without the hip-hop but was doing that anyway to avoid the College format presented on 100.5. Good Luck Chris Adler.

Re: Dead 100.5

I have six preset buttons on my dashboard. I only use three of them "full time." The fourth programmed station only works approx. 15 miles from my home, the other two are useless.

It makes me sad that I get more variety from a classics station than the station that's suppose to play "best of the new music." Most of the time I just tune into WBHM, turn it down and listen to my iPod. At least this way WBHM gets ratings. I blame crappy radio on texting and driving.

Re: Dead 100.5

Woke up yesterday to hateful comments on my 100.5. I too was heart broken over the loss of 107.7 - hell, I went on one my first business trips to Philly and came back to find the X dead as a doornail.

Local FM radio is only good for one thing for me and that's local news/announcements. Really though, I don't listen to FM radio anymore at all. It's all iPod, Last.fm, Pandora, & XM for me nowadays.

But it sucks that those that aren't privy to those amenities don't have ANY option now...

Re: Dead 100.5

Very true. Unfortunately, since the XM/Sirius merger, satellite radio is every bit as dead. Tiny playlists, obnoxious DJ's, and now so many promos that it's not much better than terrestrial radio's endless commercial breaks. The only option left for discovering new music is Internet radio. Fortunately, that's pretty easy if you have a smartphone and a car stereo with an input jack.

Re: Daily Dose: T-Minus Band

I'm trying to figure out what this comment actually means, anonymous "really? person.
